Not only do we facilitate a comprehensive hoop fitness training program recognized by Canadian Fitness Education Services (CFES), and members of the National Fitness Leadership Alliance of Canada (NFLA) in Alberta (AFLCA), Saskatchewan (SPRA), British Columbia (BCRPA), Manitoba (MFC), Ontario (OFC) & Nova Scotia (NSFA), but we also offer a wide-diversity of active & creative circus-arts related programming! Cody Selanders is a talented contact and toss-juggler, hula-hooper (Certified Hoop Play Instructor), as well as the artisan and initial inspiration behind Solstice Hoop Play!
Cody designs and manufactures all of the hoops we make, teaches circus arts to a wide variety of ages and abilities, and facilitates interactive demonstrations.
His demos are highly-engaging and adapted for all ages and abilities ~ Cody is amazing with kids! Cody is also trained and experienced as an Active & Creative Play Leader through MEND and SPARK (research-based physical activity and nutrition for children).

Katelyn Selanders developed, and regularly facilitates, the Hoop Play adult fitness program.
Her journey in the hoop started after a car accident tore ligaments in her hip joint - hooping was a safe, low-impact functional fitness activity that strengthened her core muscles and reignited her confidence!
She is now a Registered Group Fitness Leader (SPRA) and Registered Social Worker with a BA (PSY), BSW, a Level One Certificate in Expressive Arts Therapy and Introductory training in Integrated Body Psychotherapy. Katelyn is passionate about promoting wellness and uses the hoop to inspire physical, emotional and spiritual self-care!

Katelyn Selanders, Hoop Play program creator & trainer, can customize Hoop training to meet the specific needs of your group! Just one day of training will certify an attendee as a Hoop Play Instructor and fitness leaders will gain CEC's for participating (4/day SPRA, 6.5/day BCRPA, 7/day AFLCA. 2.5/day MFC, 1/day NSFA, 8/day OFC and 7/day CFES).
Private hoop training is priced at $500/day and includes one-year of Certification for each attendee! Train as many staff members as you can fit in your studio!
